Aims and Objectives
Our aim is to provide a warm, loving and welcoming environment for your children, to ensure they are happy and well cared for. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage from Government guidelines, we also provide a wide range of activities to promote all aspects of learning through play and encouraging independence in preparation for ‘big school’.
We introduce interesting and stimulating play, planned according to age and ability and activities that allow the children to learn and discover about the world around them, as well as developing skills which will be a basis for reading, writing and mathematics.
Uniquely, Springfield has created an exciting programme that our children follow, to ensure they are taking part in activities appropriate for their age group. Our Snugglers, who are the youngest children in the nursery, move onto Crawlers when they start moving around and need an environment that gives them more freedom to enourage their exploration. Crawlers move into Explorers, our toddlers.
We call them explorers as they are active little people, who are happiest when they are kept busy. Our staff will provide interesting and stimulating play for them, which will be carefully planned out according to age and ability. The activities will enable the children to learn and discover about the world around them.
Explorers move into our Nursery School and our experienced staff will prepare the children for ‘big school’. And then there is our Ready for School. Children are always excited to move into Ready for School.
That’s what they are and like to be treated differently and we develop their skills which will be a basis for reading, writing and mathematics. And then there’s Fun Club and Holiday Club for children who are now at school.
The staff at Springfield are all highly experienced and many have been with us for a long time. Children get to know the staff very well and it encourages our homely, loving atmosphere. Give us a call if you want to visit. We’d be happy to see you.
