Around about the age of two our Crawlers move into the Explorers group. Explorers is very exciting as they are usually very active little people who need a lot of attention and activities to keep them occupied. We call our toddlers explorers because the world is just amazing at this age and they want to know everything!

In Explorers we start encouraging independence and social interaction. Children in explorers come on very quickly, learning social skills whilst being with other children. We start to explore language with them and imitating the world around them in play.

Explorers usually move to a different part of the nursery and our areas are bright and spacious, with lots of outdoor spaces as well. We start the children with a few more structured activities as well, with a lot of craft, evidence of which is all over the walls! The emphasis is on learning through play and having lots of fun!
