Childcare and nursery in Fairfield near Buxton

Springfield opened Fairfield Nursery in 2006. The nursery is attached to Fairfield Primary school, enabling wraparound care for children who are old enough for school nursery, but still need all day care. The children who progress to Fairfield school have the advantage of familiarity right from babyhood into the primary school. We are able to take referrals for nursery places from Surestart, ensuring a good start for the children who attend. We have access to outdoor areas, separated by age, and the school hall for indoor play, and work in partnership with the school staff. The school nursery is staffed by a fully qualified teacher, and we share our preschool area with the nursery class.

Our manager has worked for Springfield Nurseries for many years, starting at our Charlesworth nursery where she was promoted to Deputy Manager, then to Nursery Manager at Fairfield. She brings a wealth of experience to the nursery and this is shown in how content the children and the staff are.

We have a separate baby area, plus a toddler area. Both are comfortable, bright and geared towards the child’s emotional, social and physical development.

Currently, we are having an extension built which will become our baby area, extending the size of the nursery and benefiting all the children.
